Happy October, Del Mar! Welcome to this month’s issue of Del Mar Lifestyle. October is filled with so many joys: pumpkin spice lattes, hayrides, Halloween parties for kids and adults alike and well, surf contests! Swami’s Surfing Association celebrates its 51st Anniversary this year and all of North County is bound to get out and have a look. As we move into October there is so much going on around town to celebrate the autumn season – where do we begin?
We have the Del Mar Village Taste & Art Stroll at the beginning of this month with our friends “Max and Luther” checking out the dog stroll and reporting back. And get your boys and ghouls ready for Scream Zone which starts at the fairgrounds on Sept. 29. There is everything from zombie paintball to haunted hayrides, and even a House of Horror this year. In this month’s issue of Del Mar Lifestyle we celebrate Lobster Season, which starts on Oct. 3. Local resident Mitchell Miller shares tips and tricks and the labor of love that goes into finding the perfect Spiny Lobster. We are also excited to share health and wellness for our tiniest residents and our adult readers.
And let’s not forget, it’s harvest season in North County. The Harvest Arts & Crafts show is in town for three fun-filled days. Our feature story this month shares North County’s celebration of Oktoberfest in style. We look at all of our local breweries and provide an insider’s look at the best local breweries for sharing autumn memories with friends and family. Here at Del Mar Lifestyle we wish you and yours a wonderful October. We’ll see you next month!
