Octoberfest in Del Mar.

Happy New Year from Del Mar Lifestyle!

Can you believe another year has flown by so quickly? In as much as a blink we are welcoming 2016 to our lives. As we ring in 2016, Del Mar Lifestyle wishes you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. There is much to see and do here in Del Mar for the New Year and we hope to see you at L’Auberge as we count down to midnight! For me, I love the prospect of having new beginnings and new ventures to pursue. The New Year always calls to mind champagne toasts, midnight kisses and countdowns to new beginnings. This year is no exception with wonderful parties and casual get togethers going on all around North County.

My fondest memories of New Year’s as a young child include drinking sparkling cider and toasting with my parents, family and friends at midnight. Living on the East Coast, the evenings were always brisk and chilly in January and we would bundle up from our heads down to our toes. We would wish and pray for snow to make the chill worthwhile. If we could at least play, build snowmen and sled swiftly downhill then we could bear the bone chilling cold. Living in Del Mar, New Year’s now holds a different meaning for me, and I tend to feel a chill when the weather dips below 60 degrees. There is so much to celebrate and to be thankful for as we ring in the new year and I truly hope this issue of Del Mar Lifestyle brings joy, laughter and new beginnings to your home as you enjoy Del Mar art, food, relaxation and business leaders in our January Edition. From all of us at Del Mar Lifestyle, we wish you a beautiful and prosperous 2016.

Cheers and Happy New Year!
