Discounted Dining

The new year was kicked off in succulent style with San Diego Restaurant week, held over eight days in January! 12 years of culinary excellence was celebrated as San Diego Restaurant Week offered delicious discounted dining at over 180 participating restaurants across San Diego County.

For eight days, foodies were able to dine like kings and queens at an extraordinary variety of participating restaurants. There were prix-fixe dinner menus for as little as $20 per person! It is estimated that over 150,000 locals enjoyed magnificent mastication as they celebrated San Diego County’s booming culinary scene!

Locals were not left out of the fun, as many of our very own restaurants participated in San Diego Restaurant week. Searsucker Del Mar was offering fine American cuisine with lunch for as little as $15, and dinner for as low as $30! Chef Brian Malarkey’s Searsucker Del Mar location happily offered discount dining for patrons while they enjoyed Searsucker Del Mar’s “New American Cuisine.” The Clubhouse Grill at Fairmont Grand Del Mar offered lunch for as little as $20; there’s no doubt Restaurant Week participants took advantage of Chef Joshua Dorfner’s patented gourmet chicken and waffles! For well over a decade Del Mar Rendezvous has been serving Del Mar. Del Mar Rendezvous offered discounted meals to regular and new patrons alike. Patrons of Del Mar Rendezvous were able to enjoy a deep menu of fine Asian dishes, a stellar wine selection, Japanese sakes and local and high-end draft beers; all while gazing out at the Pacific Ocean. 
Pacifica Del Mar was also in on the action. The award-winning Pacifica Del Mar offered a delectable selection of fresh seafood, steak, pasta and much more! But you can’t talk about fine dining without, at some point, mentioning great Italian food. Il Fornaio offers some of the finest and most unique Italian cuisine around. From wood-fired rotisserie and grill meats, poultry and game, to pizzas from an oak wood burning oven, Il Fornaio satiated any and all of prospective patron’s needs!

We were all overjoyed to have San Diego Restaurant Week come, but we were certainly sad to see it go. All of our palettes and pocketbooks will have to be patient and wait for San Diego Restaurant Week to arrive again next year!
