La Jolla Playhouse’s annual Gala honored the theatre’s co-founder Gregory Peck and his family in celebration of what would have been the acclaimed actor’s 100th birthday on April 5, 2016. Three of Peck’s children – Cecilia Peck Voll, Carey Peck and Stephen Peck – were in attendance at the Gala, along with longtime family friend and Hollywood star Angie Dickinson. During the Gala festivities, the Playhouse presented a tribute to Gregory Peck’s life, career and legacy. The Playhouse was founded in 1947 by film legends Gregory Peck, Dorothy McGuire and Mel Ferrer. For 18 summers, renowned Hollywood actors came to La Jolla to explore their craft on the stage until the theatre took a hiatus to focus on building a permanent, world-class theatre facility. Nearly 70 years later, the Playhouse has become one of the most prestigious regional theatres in the country, dedicated to the development of new work and new theatrical forms.

We’ve all heard the lyrics. And if we’re being truthful, many of us have asked ourselves this question at one point or another during our marriage. “Should I stay or should I go?” While a therapist can help you understand the potential emotional impacts of divorce on you and your children, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) can help you understand the immediate as well as long-term financial impacts. Are you confident that the money used to support one household today would be sufficient to support two separate households in the future while maintaining a decent standard of living for you and your family? Even if divorce isn’t imminent, you need to know where you stand financially. On Monday, May 16, join Laurie Itkin, financial advisor and CDFA, for a discussion on the financial aspects of divorce. You’ll learn how property division and spousal and child support may be treated under different scenarios and leave with tips on how to be financially prepared should you (or your spouse) ever file for divorce. $20 fee includes wine and light appetizers. You may bring one guest at no extra charge. RSVP is required as space is limited. Click the “Events” tab at
