LA JOLLA MUSIC SOCIETY SPRING GALA

La Jolla Music Society’s artistic and education endeavors were well-supported by local community members at the recently held Gala, with more than 130 attendees. The total raised was just over $318,000 and the funds raised go directly to these causes, entirely separate from the fund-raising efforts toward The Conrad Perbys Performing Arts Center, their new home, which will open early 2018. LJMS.org

HOEHN MOTORS SUPPORTS YMCA 
SAN DIEGO COUNTY

The Hoehn Motors family, through the Hoehn Family Challenge Grant, offered the community a special opportunity to join them in supporting the SD County YMCA. Hoehn Motors’ Josh Sherman joined the Board of Directors for the YMCA of San Diego County in 2015. Matching contributions from partners, they were able to raise $47,400 in total this year. The three-day music festival announced its return to the racetrack. Despite noise complaints from a number of neighbors, the festival could be at the fairgrounds for the next decade under a unanimous deal approved by the Fair Board, which would bring the festival to the fairgrounds for the next five years, with up to five one-year extensions.
