Annie Glenn / UrbanGirlAccessories.com
“When I started my business straight out of college back in the early ‘90s, I never would have dreamed that over 20 years later, I would have nine brick and mortar locations!” Annie Glenn now owns five locations downtown at Seaport Village, two in Del Mar Village and has recently opened two more at The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch. She credits her husband and two boys as her inspiration, always encouraging her. Working on the principle that if you do your job with positivity and love, you simply can’t go wrong, her focus for her business and thought process has been to push ‘shop local’ and ‘shop small’ – that is how she began her own business and loves to see new small businesses pop up around town. Glenn often hosts local Girl Scout troops at her stores to earn their business badge, and enjoys speaking to them about being a female business owner. “I love encouraging young girls to dream big and know that they are capable of anything!”

Dr. Lisa Fitzpatrick / GeiaFit.com
In 2014, Dr. Lisa Fitzpatrick had a busy career, 6-month old twin girls and a 3-year old son when she suffered an injury that left her paralyzed in her legs. She was seen by multiple specialists throughout the country but found gaps in communication with medical care providers, lack of understanding of her symptomology, and lack of her own time for treatment. This led her to develop the current mobile health technology platform at GeiaFit. “By providing a system that makes it easy for patients and practitioners to stay engaged, we can achieve better health and better outcomes for overall recovery.” GeiaFit is used by health care practitioners to track activity data and vitals information, share educational and exercise information through video, and use a HIPAA compliant messaging system to directly interact with patients. Additionally, the platform provides an option for the client to monitor their own health while providing oversight of a healthcare practitioner. In today’s world, GeiaFit provides a simple solution for all to save time and money, and feel better, in keeping with the motto: Say hello to health!

Annmarie D’Ercole / ShopAnnMarie.com
Born in New York and raised in Del Mar, Annmarie D’Ercole began designing jewelry over 20 years ago. By her late teens, she began wire wrapping custom jewelry pieces for friends, not knowing at the time that she was taking the first steps into the field that would become her life’s passion. Demand for her pieces quickly grew from a few designs worn by close friends, to scores of private clients, which led to a presence within retail stores and eventually an eponymous store of her own. Over the years, she has honed her ever-growing appreciation of stones, metals, the craft of design, and the art of quality bench work, with all her jewelry being handmade at her studio in Los Angeles. In addition to her successful signature collections, custom made pieces, and bespoke engagement and wedding ring sets, she has recently launched a line of jewelry inspired by her daughter Giana Rose. Her pieces are realized in 14-karat white, yellow, and rose gold, and include diamonds, black diamonds, and precious and semi-precious colored gemstones.
