On the heels of their entry into the San Diego market with their La Jolla opening in December, Mendocino Farms is set to open its second local outpost this summer in Del Mar. Taking over the former Carnitas’ Snack Shack space in the highly trafficked Del Mar Highlands Town Center, the nearly 4,000 square-foot coastal bohemian space will bring the concept’s dynamic chef-driven gourmet fast casual dining option further into North County. Designed by San Diego-based architectural firm Bluemotif who will outfit the 110-seat space with a fireplace, custom macrame air plant installation, living wall and various kid-friendly elements.  MendocinoFarms.com/del-mar
