The Heart of the Home 1

It’s March Del Mar and spring is in the air. Perhaps that means you are spring cleaning or making plans to update your living space or spruce up the exterior of your home. You might find me knee-deep in an organizational project in the garage where it seems everything collects in our home and needs the most help especially with everything that comes with having two kids. I have discovered that it is best to make this an ongoing effort. However, this is easier said than done.

Inside this issue, you will learn about an amazing fashion and cultural icon living in Del Mar, who found her niche in our seaside community by contributing to the SD Opera. You may recognize her immediately by her signature pink hair – a trailblazer, decades ahead of her time. Oh, and she is a dame by the order of Queen Elizabeth II. Yes, a modern dame in our neck of the woods.

Hopefully, you will find inspiration for the outside living spaces which we are lucky enough to enjoy just about 365 days of the year here in southern California. We love a space that is great for entertaining and functional as well. This Outdoor Oasis is just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing evening at home.

As always, we love our community, its people and businesses. We especially love when businesses do good for the community and Baked Bear is no exception. You can rest assured that when you enjoy a sweet treat from their Carmel Valley location that they will give back to the community. See how they support Del Mar and Carmel Valley organizations, schools and charities.

We will see you around town and let us know how you are spending your March.
